~ Im Norden, Sud, Ost und West ~
This 2 L relief stein was marked "Made in Western Germany" and dates to post WWII. The verse has some variations from high German, but that's not unusual in various locations. The "Alm" is the summer pasture in the southern mountainous regions.

Im Norden, Sud, Ost und West
ist Trinken stets das (All)erbeste.

Auf der Alm, da steht ein Haus,
schaut so still ins Thal hinaus.
In north, south, east and west,
drinking is always the very best.

On the mountain meadow, there is a house,
shown so peaceful in the valley.
