~ Ach mein lieb's Bierl, was ist denn dös ~
This Regensburg style stein dates to the last 3rd of the 1800's. The verse and scene on the porcelain lid seem to indicate that the brewer having collapsed under the table is blaming the beer itself that he drank for having hammered him. The probability that he just might have drunk too much of his own brew doesn't seem to be an issue.

Ach mein lieb's Bierl, was ist denn dös,
dass du mich untern Tisch wirfst?
Kennst mi' denn nimmer?
I' hab di ja selber 'braut.
Oh my dear good brew, what is it with you?
Why are you throwing me under the table?
Don’t you know me anymore?
I am the one who brewed you.
