| This is a nice and unusual salt-glazed, stoneware, occupational stein, ca 1900. It also fits into the advanced level of the German secondary educational system. In this case it could be Berufsschule (trade school) which would include academic training and apprenticeship in business. It also might have been conducted in a Christian school. On completion of such a course, one would certainly want to have one's own stein for appropriate libations. | |
