~ Getheilte Freud' ist doppelte Freud' ~

This is a cute glass stein with a porcelain lid showing a young girl
reluctantly sharing some food with a young boy. The verse is self
explanatory and has some characteristics of "Old German". The "th"
in Getheilte should be transcribed to "t" in modern German and the "e"
needs to replace the ' in Freude. This together with the handle
attachments beginning at the bottom and finishing at the top help
date the stein to ca. 1870.
