~ Mama, an Hedwig hat Honig genascht ~
This is a glass stein ca. 1870 with a porcelain lid insert showing a humorous scene of a young son apparently squealing on his sister, Hedwig, that she's been into the honey and the Mr. Assessor (legal clerk) just outside wants to kiss the honey off of her lips. It's not obvious that the sister had actually been into the honey, but the brother misinterpreted the Assessor's comment in that way. There are possible other ways to explain this scenario and the reader can use his own judgement.

Paul: Mama, an Hedwig hat Honig genascht,
der Herr Assessor sagte eben hinter der Thür,
er wolle den Honig von ihren Lippen küssen.
Paul: Mama, Hedwig (his older sister) nibbled from the honey,
and Mr. Assessor (legal clerk) said to her behind the door,
he wants to kiss the honey from her lips.
