~ Trink nach der Meister Brauch: ~
This is an interesting porcelain stein, not for its elegance, but because it was made in East Germany during the Russian occupation. It's described by the maker, Tichte, as very fancy, but in reality not up to the old German standards. The makers label is shown and translated below. The verse of course has an old German traditional sentiment.

Trink nach der Meister Brauch:
In langen tiefen Zügen,
aus schönen weissen Krügen %
und mit Verstande auch.

From the label on stein bottom:

Drink according to the master's custom:
in long deep drafts,
out of beautiful white steins %
and also with understanding.
