~ Vier Buben zum Skaten ~
This nice pottery stein by Dumler & Breiden with mold #205 is showing a winning hand in the German card game of Skat, ca. 1900. An older spelling of "Skat" would have been "Scat", but it has been Germanized and is now "Skat" in both German and English.

Vier Buben zum Skaten,
das Spiel muss geraten.
Ein Spiel in ehren,
soll Niemand verwehren.
Four Jacks in Skat,
the play must succeed.
An honorable game,
no one should deny.
