Robert and Colette Wilson,
prominent collectors and enthusiasts, amassed a huge number of late
19th and early 20th century Mettlach ceramics over the past thirty
years. Their collection of incredibly detailed and finely crafted
pieces is known to be the finest and largest collection in the world at
over 3,000 pieces according to Isabella von Boch, the youngest sibling
of the Villeroy & Boch family.
The entire Mettlach wares collection has been donated to the AMOCA and
important and rare pieces are still being added. Part of the Wilson
collection is now on public display at AMOCA’s home in Pomona, CA.
