Thanks, that might explain it, I was not aware of the historic significance of the name. I also agree with Tom that the purchaser was most likely an SCI member. Although I have known novice, new stein collectors (like myself many years ago) just buying up tons of crap without thinking. Then you mellow, educate yourself through PROSIT, auction catalogs, meetings, etc., and finally decide what you want to collect. Then you sell off all the crap you bought when you didn't anything to other "newbies" on ebay.
